I’m Jesse Sudirgo, the founder of Good Neighbour, an organization dedicated to renewing the Church’s public engagement in the city. I work alongside churches, charities, and community organizations as they respond to issues of justice, compassion, and poverty in urban contexts. Through Good Neighbour, I help leaders build meaningful relationships in their neighbourhoods, strengthen their public witness, and develop practical responses to the needs around them.
I also serve as Assistant Professor of Contextual Ministry at Tyndale Seminary, where I teach courses such as Ministry in the Margins and Radical Hospitality. In addition, I am the Director of the Social Transformation Education Initiative, which focuses on creating formal educational programs rooted in community and the lived realities of urban life.
Before these roles, I served as Director of Street-Involved Services at YSM Evergreen Centre, walking alongside individuals experiencing poverty and homelessness. I also spent four years church planting with City Church in Boston, where I learned firsthand both the challenges and opportunities of ministry in an urban setting.
At the heart of my work is a deep belief that the Church is called to be a faithful presence in the city—marked by justice, mercy, and hospitality. Whether through teaching, consulting, or community partnerships, my hope is to help people and communities pursue renewal with wisdom, courage, and compassion.
